PROGRAM
  bus-stop libary

Given the constraints of an assigned material and joint pairing of plastic + concrete and stacking, this bus-stop library looks to capture traces of waste plastic on the surfaces of the blocks that comprise it. It’s aesthetic attempts to render varying texture and pattern through unconventional aggregations of ubiquitous materials. Commercial plastic waste is recycled into form-work and is reformed into colorful sheets that denote surfaces for books and people.

On the site, the bus-stop attempts to frame the voids between the buildings that lie across the street, spaces that could be understood as zones with potential for urban activity.
